Our Story
When I was a teenager back in the early 1970s, my parents brought home a couple new silicone ice cube trays, which had just came out recently. When I went to use them, there was no way of getting the ice cubes out unless you bounced them up and down, and then half the ice cubes would fall on the floor. They didn’t work too well. And believe it or not, today, almost 60 years later, 80% of Americans are still getting their ice cubes out the same way!
So around 2020, I started looking for ways to fix this problem.
And I succeeded.
I challenged myself to redesign the silicone ice cube tray. And after much trial and error, I ended up with the prototype for FlipCubes!
With my new intention, after you crack the ice cube tray and you flip it over, all your ice cubes are sitting next to each other very happily on the other side of the tray. It’s easy to remove the cubes, and they’ll never be falling on the floor again.
